KENNEDY THE GREAT (1939) Edgar Kennedy

Postby Ed Watz » Wed Aug 06, 2025 3:09 am

One of the better entries from a time when Edgar Kennedy’s series was fluctuating wildly between gag comedies and mild situational humor. And there’s no Florence Lake, although sometimes that can be a good thing.

But the byplay between Edgar and Billy Franey is priceless.

Unfortunately, the person who posted the film reedited and mixed scenes up - WHY? But if you skip to the 7:38 mark you’ll get the best part of it. Really, if I had a telecine that worked in Europe I would’ve put this one on YouTube...
