I have been a huge fan of silent films and have quite a big collection of silent films on DVD. I have enjoyed the music and commentaries of many members of this website on various DVD's that I own. Thank you for your work and efforts in restoring and preserving silent films.

I recently discovered that Fay Tincher is my cousin and I am very eager to get as much of her work that survives on DVD. I currently have "Rowdy Ann" and "Ethel's Roof Party" on DVD. I recently saw, "I'm the Sheriff" on YouTube and wish to know how I can get this and other surviving works of Fay Tincher on DVD. Your help would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the Group! Unfortunately, your Cousin has a somewhay unfortunate survival rate on her movies. A few more Andy Gumps survive, and at least two more Komic Comedies, CASEYS VENDETTA (which exists at the Library of Congress) and BILL JOINS THE WWW'S (which is in the Blackhawk Collection) exist. The Triangle feature SUNSHINE DAD (1916) starring DeWolfe Hopper and Fay Tincher is also at the Library of Congress and an abridged version was available from Blackhawk films years ago. I have a print of ANDY'S LION TALE (1924) and THE SMASH-UP (1925), and if your copy of ETHELS ROOF PARTY came from Grapevine Video, that's from my print of that one as well.

Thank you for a quick and informative reply. It is much appreciated. These few films with Fay Tincher that does exist (Especially the Gump series) that you have mentioned. Has any of them been transferred to DVD for purchase, if so, where can I get them. If not, does any one have in their private collection some they would be willing to transfer to DVD? Thank you. I realize I am asking a lot and perhaps being impositious, but it would mean a lot top me to have as many of her films as possible for families sake.
