Talk about a long career, Molly Picon was a doyenne' of Yiddish Theater in the 20's and 30's, a Broadway star in the 40's, then spent decades playing spunky little old ladies in Movies and television (I was watching her in CANNONBALL RUN last week).

But who knew she was an adorable silent film comedienne? Here's an Austrian comedy from 1923 featuring Molly and her husband Jacob Kalich and Sidney M Goldin (who also co-directed with Ivan Abramson), made for Yiddish audiences, but certainly enjoyable for all. Consider it an early Hanukkah Present:
