What an awesome review -- nailed it on every level, Mr. Watz!

Whooah! Richard and Chris, thank you so much - as I read your comments it's a good thing I wasn't hammering nails - I would've swallowed the ones in my mouth! I feel as though General Patton and Field Marshall Montgomery just awarded me the highest honor. Coming from you both - whom I look up to - it's very humbling. Thank you again!

Well i finally made it through the entire set -- commentaries and all, chronologically, and what can I say but bravo, bravo, bravo to all involved. Put it at the top of things I never thought I'd see in my lifetime -- and I've seen a pandemic in action!

Dan Day Jr. over at HITLESS WONDER MOVIE BLOG doesn't get it, but he commends the set:

Everyone is entitled to their own option, but when Mr. Day states that the 8 shorts are "not in pristine condition," I beg to differ. Each film looked and sounded amazing. Admittedly 1929 technology meant that they weren't filmed on a Stretchomatic Screen with Schizophrenic Sound, but the picture & sound elements were mint, or if that's too effusive, then they were certainly near-mint. These early Langdons look and sound much better than, say, Lloyd's WELCOME DANGER and Keaton's FREE & EASY. They're also a lot funnier, too.

Last year, I got an email from one of the reviewers at BROADCAST BEAT, which is one of the industry trade publications for all things digital from Broadcast to Post, and he said he was watching the Charley Chase Volume 2 set and that they were some of the best digital restorations he had ever seen. So we ignore the morons who say anything about picture quality. Our restorations are first-rate, and we keep them looking like film, not overscrubbed video games (we also keep in the cuemarks, which apparently tweaks the limited attention spans of some of the nerds, they are part of the original film).
