Just one little quick Sennett related piece to post today as I have to scoot off to take care of some biz. BTW, CAMERA has no postings at all for the Sennett Studio in their usually informative "Pulse of the Studios" listings during this period.

Teddy, who has become famous as a dog actor in Mack Sennett Comedies, was an active worker during the holidays in collecting funds for the Salvation Army’s Christmas benevolences. Wearing the garb of the army and carrying a tambourine he collected huge sums. (Camera Vol. 4 No. 38 p.8)

I note here that the Hallroom Boys at the end of 1921 are Sid Smith and Jimmie Adams. Does anyone know if the Smith listed as doing directing and assistant directing duties would also be Sid Smith?

Scenario Department

Campbell Comedies, Fine Arts Studios, are in the market for two-reel comedies featuring children and animals, submitted in synopsis form. Send scripts to the Scenario Editor and a report from them can be expected within ten days.

Christie Film Co., 6101 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, Calif., is in the market for original stories for all-star casts, submitted in synopsis form, preferably one and two-reel farce comedies, written around young and likeable people, newlyweds, etc. Scripts should be addressed to the Scenario Department, and if unavailable will be returned after a week. (Camera Vol. 4 No. 38 pg. 18)

Both Campbell and Christie were distributing their films through Educational at this time.
