Thanks Richard for the alert - I just shared Leonard's appreciative reviews with friends & fiends alike, on FaceBook. And Congrats to both you and Steve Massa!

Do hipsters consider Leonard Maltin hip? I mean, unironically?

Unironically, I don't think you can find anyone in the entire Film History Community qualified to answer that question.

Richard, it appears that you got something that you wanted; a critic that understood why you and your co-authors wrote the book. Congratulations! The wife and I are having a party this weekend. I have color printed and framed a copy of Maltin's review on "Smileage". It is sitting next to your book, we used a couple of phone books to prop it up. I told the wife our guests would be impressed with our cultural and cutting edge literary tastes. She remarked how I seem to get smarter every day. Sounds like "wining" to me.

Hey Frank Flood!

Thanks for the good words about the book (and the two Steve's books as well) over at Nutrateville! That will keep the Nutters gnashing their teeth as the positive praise piles up.

My pleasure, Richard. It's a great book. I've looked at some of that Roach material at USC, and I get the challenge of not producing something as readable as a phone book on the one hand, or skimped down re-hashes of what's already been published on the other.

Looking forward to the Educational book. What will be Volume 3 be - miscellaneous funny stuff?
