Will Hays Meets Shemp Howard

Postby Ed Watz » Sun Oct 09, 2022 8:51 am

Czar of the Movies Will H. Hays briefly tangles with Shemp Howard in this nontheatrical short, filmed by Universal exclusively for the Indiana Society of Chicago. Featuring Irene Dunne, who sings "On The Banks of the Wabash," with Shemp providing a slam-bang warmup in the first minute.

Not listed in any Shemp Howard filmography (although someone once joked it should've been titled HOOSIER BOY MAKES GOOD). The actual title card is included as the second screenshot.
