This ranks in my Top 5 of all Vitaphone shorts (along with SHARPS AND FLATS with The Conlins and THE BEAU BRUMMELS with Shaw and Lee).

Here's Joe Frisco in the "Broadway" comic strip of the New York Daily News. Renowned gate-crasher One-Eyed Connolly puts in an appearance here, shortly after he won a bet that he could eat at the Horn & Hardart Automat for free (and in these photos One-Eyed could almost pass as Tammany Young's chubbier brother).

Matt McHugh (in THE LOUD MOUTH), Charley Chase (in THE HECKLER) and Shemp Howard (in MR. NOISY) immortalized One-Eyed Connolly when each comic mocked a monocled stuffed shirt-type attending a sporting event.
