This is a 1922 Arrow Comedy, recently found by the Library of Congress. Jack Duffy is the old guy with the white beard. Directed by Reggie Morris. As always, these frame scans are courtesy of George Willeman of the Library of Congress.

This is one of the Speed Comedies that Arrow released during the 1921-22 season. They were made by a unit led by Reggie Morris that was formed to make comedies for Special Pictures Corporation. Special seems to have been better at signing comedians to contracts than actually making comedies with those comedians. Special signees included Ford Sterling, Gale Henry, Chester Conklin, Louise Fazenda, Neely Edwards, and Milburne Moranti. When Special went out of business, it looks like some of these folks got together to make Speeds for Arrow starring Edwards, while others formed a unit around Fazenda and Conklin to make Punch Comedies for Educational.
The original Special / Speed group included Neely Edwards, Charlotte Merriam, Margaret Cullington, Eddie Baker, Jack Duffy and Jack Ackroyd. Jay Belasco seems to have replaced Edwards at some point. Is the young man in these shots Belasco?
