Hey and all the rest of you, don't all praise and talk about this years program at once! Jeez, you were so quick to yell out suggestions for film's we weren't going to show, whattye think of what we're showing!?

I can't wait to see "Spectrum Doors Open" on Thursday.

I'm impressed by the number of Lloyd Hamilton titles being screened. That alone is a big deal.
I'm also looking forward to those Roach shorts, and to see what Rob Stone brings; WAR ITALIAN STYLE is a nice touch, and The Marx Brothers rarities sound promising. Even those Weiss Brothers shorts are positioned where they will do the most good, whetting eveyone's appetite for what's to come.

This is going to be fun.

WAR ITALIAN STYLE is the most underappreciated work from Buster's later years. You're on your own when it comes to Franco e Ciccio, but Buster is definitely the eye of this cinematic hurricane. And it's a heckuva lot funnier than FILM.

Not too many people outside of the archival world have seen Red Hot Tires, but our research indicates it's an entertaining little action comedy. And anything directed by Erle C. Kenton is worth seeing. He's best known for his sound horror films, but in his early days could always be depended upon to deliver thoroughly delightful comedies, including W.C. Fields' You're Telling Me and a prior Slapsticon discovery, Golf Widows.
