8mm Billy Franey ("Too Many Cops" Carnival Films)

Postby Michael J Hayde » Sun Nov 15, 2020 3:25 pm

Here's one I picked up on eBay last week. It's 3 minutes of flirtatious Billy Franey, but we don't have the genuine title. I'm sure someone's got this on 16mm! Reelcraft? O'Conor? Inquiring minds want to know....

Enjoy!

Yep, got it in 16mm, it's from IN THE TRENCHES (Reelcraft 1921) directed by Grover Jones.

Richard, was there a WWI element to the film? Maybe Billy is dreaming of an idealized home front while in the trenches?

Barely any, just a wraparound with Billy in a uniform sitting in a ditch, I don't think they had much budget for WWI.
