When is a Harold Lloyd film not a film? Answer: when it's a roll of photographs made specially for the penny arcade!
Here's Harold dancing on a girder in a 1921 Mutoscope filmed between takes of his Hal Roach three-reeler NEVER WEAKEN.
It's only 40 seconds long, and unfortunately the image quality is poor; this was filmed with a cellphone at San Francisco's Musée Mécanique a couple of summers ago.

Thanks, John!
This is a good place to remind anyone who hasn't already done so, to please take a minute and post a review of the Chaplin Keaton Lloyd Alley, identified and shared by John on Google Maps:
https://www.google.com/maps/place/Chaplin+Keaton+Lloyd+Alley/@34.1011544,-118.331372,17z/data=!4m7!3m6!1s0x80c2bfcf76aabe3f:0x8c517b25c49cf4f7!8m2!3d34.1011544!4d-118.3291833!9m1!1b1
As always, our thanks to John's amazing detective work identifying hundreds of sites where film history was made by the great comedians.
With our support, hopefully this alley will receive the same Landmark Status as The Laurel & Hardy Music Box location.
Incidentally, in the 1980s I bought a stack of original RKO stills from a little old lady who ran an antique shop to the right of the alley. Chatting with her about old Hollywood, she said that she was told Buster Keaton and others filmed in the neighborhood. At the time I chalked it up to wishful thinking...the alley DID look familiar, but... Well, John proved her right!
