THE ECONOMISTS (1917) stars Lennox Pawle and Lauri de Frece (and I believe, Mary Forbes) in "A British comic fictional propaganda piece on how suburban dwellers should buy National War Bonds to help the war effort rather than trying to produce their own food, early 1917." Much more amusing than that sounds:

Re: The Economists 1917
Thanks for sharing, David! Very enjoyable, and a Lennox Pawle discovery as well - to those who only know him as Mr. Dick in DAVID COPPERFIELD (1935), he's terrific here. What a shame he didn't have a two-reel comedy series - he could've been the Benny Hill of his day!
