The Differences Between Mathew "Tijuana" Jones and Spencer Williams

We are putting this up for the assistance of some misguided film historians who are having difficulty telling the difference between Mathew “Tijuana” Jones and Spencer Williams:
This is Mathew “Tijuana” Jones in one of his few actually credited film appearances in Mack Sennett’s THE NEW AUNT (1928):
Here’s Mathew “Tijuana” Jones in one of his other few actual credited appearances in Mack Sennett’s RUN GIRL RUN (1928):
Here’s Spencer Williams doing drag as the cook in Hal Roach’s PASS THE GRAVY (1928):
Here’s Spencer Williams in the 1931 short HOT BISKITS, which he produced, directed and co-starred in:
For those still having troubles, Mathew Jones is wall-eyed and has a seriously broken nose, Spencer Williams does not.
