Is this Dave Morris?

According to MPW (Jan-July 1911), Dave Morris had joined the Pathe West-Coast stock company from the stage, and "would henceforth appear in important character parts". I have seen this film, FOR THE PAPOOSE (Pathe 1912), several times this last year and the lead actor always looked familiar, but I couldn't place him. It would be the earliest film I know of for him, he would be about 27 years old in a straight (heavy) role; if it is Dave Morris.....
