A Merry Mafiosi Christmas

Postby Richard M Roberts » Thu Dec 24, 2015 7:27 am

As the 24th of December is upon us, it's time to one more wish all you Mafians the Happiest of Holidays.

Rest ye' merry Ladies and Gentlemen, let nothing you dismay.

Keep warm, drink a hot toddy or two, and have a few laughs, the best way to truly find Peace on Earth, Goodwill to all.

Am I late? Regardless, Merry Christmas and a big "Thank You" to the nicest people on the internet. Also the wisest.

I received by surprise a Charley Bowers Blu-ray for Kringlemas. Life is good.

So, is there actually anything different on it than what was on the DVD?

I think the only DVD I got from Santa was EVERY DAYS A HOLIDAY with Mae West, but I did get both Simon Callow's ORSON WELLES VOLUME THREE: ONE MAN BAND and Patrick MacGilligan's YOUNG ORSON, as well as the new Bob Hope Bio, so we're having great Holiday reading here at Casa Ricardo.

It has the same line-up as the Image disc from last decade except a complete THERE IT IS and reel two of WHOOZIT (in which Addie McPhail appears) are on this collection. The films were digitally scanned and look great, almost like watching them for the first time. However SAY-AHHH and IT'S A BIRD seem to be upconversions of standard def transfers.
