Keaton and Houdini connections on film

Postby John Bengtson » Sat Nov 21, 2015 3:11 pm

Buster Keaton dedicated his most famous short film Cops (1922) to Harry Houdini, the man Keaton credits as giving him his name. Remarkably, Cops was filmed at three places where Houdini filmed The Grim Game in 1919.

The Grim Game will be screening this December 5 at the San Francisco Silent Film Festival one-day event A Day of Silents. http://www.silentfilm.org/homepage/whats-new/a-day-of-silents
