Thanks for posting that Dave, amazing what one finds on Youtube, and Silent Comedy Mafia these days.

So, it appears and sounds like the person transferring the print was using a hand-cranked projector, and one in need of lubricating.

I am convinced the main reason Hal Roach hired Stan Laurel in 1918 was because Stan resembled Toto.

That makes sense, but even Stan looked more normal than Mr. Novello.
