Larry Storch RIP

No one lives forever -- except, perhaps, Shirley MacLaine. This is where we ring down the final curtain for Filmdom's finest.

Another good comic has passed away at 99 years of age:

I saw him play Dr. Einstein in the National Touring Company of ARSENIC AND OLD LACE back in the mid-1980's Jonathan Frid played Jonathan Brewster, and together they were both terrific in a terrific production of the play, but the odd thing was both Frid and Storch were not terribly tall, and the actresses playing the Brewster Sisters ,Jean Stapleton and Marion Ross, rather amazoningly towered over them, which was actually funny in itself.

Storch was actually a pretty good stand-up comic going back to the 1940's, here he is on THE HOLLYWOOD PALACE in the mid-1960's:

He was a mainstay at collector autograph shows for the last several decades, always fun to talk to and friendly to the fans.

Rest in Peace Larry, and who says you're dumb!
