Betty White RIP

No one lives forever -- except, perhaps, Shirley MacLaine. This is where we ring down the final curtain for Filmdom's finest.

Betty White RIP

The coda to a dreadful year: we lost Betty White:

Another great comedy talent, and we have so damn few left. She was also the only person I know of who worked with both Buster Keaton and Boris Karloff in the same show.

Rest in peace Betty, we truly hope you and Allen Ludden are now reunited.

And speaking of Betty White and Buster Keaton, Leonard Maltin was wise and lucky enough to ask Betty about Buster:

Betty White's connection to Buster Keaton reminds me that we lost the last living (screen) link to W.C. Fields earlier this year. Jane Powell passed on Sept. 16 at 92. Baby LeRoy, Gloria Jean, and Butch and Buddy are all gone.
