Fred Willard RIP

No one lives forever -- except, perhaps, Shirley MacLaine. This is where we ring down the final curtain for Filmdom's finest.

Crap, we are losing all our funny people!

And Willard was truly funny, a brilliant comic actor I have been enjoying since the late sixties, when he was part of the improv group The Ace Trucking Company, then of course when he was Martin Mull's sidekick on FERNWOOD/AMERICA TONIGHT, then all the Christopher guest movies, and much much more.

Here's Fred with the Ace Trucking Company on THE TONIGHT SHOW doing their "Danny's on the Turnpike" sketch:

Rest in Peace Fred.
