Diana Serra Cary aka Baby Peggy RIP

No one lives forever -- except, perhaps, Shirley MacLaine. This is where we ring down the final curtain for Filmdom's finest.

Diana Serra Cary aka Baby Peggy RIP

Postby Richard M Roberts » Mon Feb 24, 2020 8:17 pm

Today a great lady and one of the last real links to the Silent Era has passed away at 101, she truly lived an interesting life, dealing with both stardom and becoming a has-been before she was even an adult, then rebuilding and living her life to an incredible, giving, absolute fullest.

She has been a part of the California Cinephile community for so long, it was easy to take her for granted, except that she was thoughtful, intelligent, wonderful to talk to, and had a pretty good memory of a time and era that she was still a toddler when she was a star. It was my pleasure to have known her and spent time with her, whom else was left that one could ask what it was like to work with Alf Goulding or Blue Washington?

She was in pretty good health for most of that long life, and we were blessed to have her with us for so long, she has truly deserved the peace she has now found today.
