From CBS, March 28, 1965: Ed Sullivan was notorious for cutting comics time in half just before showtime, and it looks like Ed did it to George Carl here, but here's a couple of great minutes of George Carl doing something other than his microphone routine:

Several have emailed me asking about George Carl, whom I'm surprised you did not know about. In any event, here's a bit more George Carl, from what was his most famous routine, here done on THE TONIGHT SHOW in the mid-1980's:
