Nice early BBC TV production from 1962, were either Michael Caine or Patricia Routhledge ever that young? And playing Hobson is great British character actor John Barrie, star of Z CARS and the sadly forgotten detective series SERGEANT CORK as Hobson. Not topping the David Lean film version perhaps, but a great cast still delivering a pleasant evening's viewing:
