Chaplin 100 Years Ago on Sunset Blvd.

The Flicker Alley Chaplin at Keystone Collection is so sharp I was able to prove that Chaplin filmed several early films on Sunset Blvd. just a few blocks from the Keystone Studio. You can read about it here. http://silentlocations.wordpress.com/2014/04/23/chaplin-100-years-ago-on-sunset-boulevard/ ...

Charlie Chaplin filmed Easy Street at a real police station

Charlie filmed Easy Street at a real Hollywood police station, and soon every other comedian filmed there as well.

County Hospital, Thundering Taxis, and What Price Taxi? all filmed a few blocks west of MGM.

Johnny Depp - Keaton - Chaplin at the same Hollywood alley

Johnny Depp not only emulated Keaton and Chaplin in Benny and Joon , he filmed scenes from Ed Wood at the same Hollywood alley where they had filmed 70 years prior. Check out how East Cahuenga Alley looks now, and in 1922/1994. http://silentlocations.wordpress.com/2013/09/08/johnny-depp-and-buster-k...

The Kid - Cops - Safety Last - their common Hollywood alley

Three of the greatest comedies ever made, by the three greatest comedians, all contain vital scenes filmed at the same Hollywood location you can still visit today. http://silentlocations.wordpress.com/2013/08/10/the-kid-cops-safety-last-three-comic-masterpieces-filmed-at-a-common-hollywood-alley-yo...

A Bit Found of Missing Footage From The Cameraman

The brief missing scene of Buster trying to film the admiral leaving a hotel is included in this Internet Archive copy of the film at 17:57. The hotel appearing in the brief shot is the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, that appears in Chaplin's City Lights. http://archive.org/details/busterkeatonthecameraman...
