Re: De Muzikale Buren
Thanks for the bumper reply Mr Massa.
Couldn't of wished for more info than that.
It's a great little comedy too - strangely reminiscent of those early manic French ones.
Wish I could be Mostly Lost in VA this year.
I'll have to be content being mostly lost in Surrey...

De Muzikale Buren
Shame it's not at the right speed but it's pretty frantic as it is. Is that Eddie Boland lurking? http://eye.openbeelden.nl/media/685631/Muzikale_buren_De DG (p.s. if you haven't already explored the EYE sight, I recommend it. Hidden gems from Hughie Mack, Jack Cooper, Billie Ritchie and many more t...

Great little Universal comic western.

Re: Ben Turpin - His Bogus Boast
Well Pasquale, it's still a mystery to me too! It's a big learning curve and I'm still on it. There's not an easy way to explain the process, as there are too many variables. However, "in a nut shell"... 1) Capture the image (the way you do that depends on the source) 2) Upload it. The End...

Ben Turpin - Asleep at the Switch
OK Turpin fans, here's a few chunks.
Starting with the usual Youngson footage with a few extra scenes sliced in (see if you can spot 'em!) from 9.5.
I'm sure there must be more out there somewhere...

Re: Ben Turpin - Step Forward (1922)
Gosh Mr Roberts, you have everything! This looks like a really great Sennett too, so hopefully we'll all get to see it one day. (maybe at the '8mm Slapsticon' event held next year in your garage...) Whilst we're talking of rare Turpins, I've nearly finished the reconstruction of SHE SIGHED BY THE SE...

Ben Turpin - Step Forward (1922)
No sorry, it's not the whole thing!
Just some tantalisingly short clips.
According to Brent's book, it survives at UCLA (in whole or in part?).
Anyone here seen what they've got?
