Re: Unidentified Bud Jamison, Glen Cavender & Ton of Fun!

Re: THE HOLLYWOOD KID (1924) Reel Two
Hey SteveR!
The scenes I viewed from AWS at the LOC looked like trims with no sort of continuity. I don't remember a game of pool between Slim and Ben but I distinctly remember business between Pepper Puss and Louise on a pool table.

LOC has more than five minutes of ARE WAITRESSES SAFE?, we ran their 35mm two-reel print at Slapsticon several years ago. RICHARD M ROBERTS That's great! The reel they handed me to view only had bits and pieces of the film. I have requested for viewing from the LOC four times the Fatty Voss comedy ...

Concerning THE DRAWBACK as I'm sure has been noted before, a man who resembles John Wayne appears over Glen Cavender's shoulder at 14:49.

Re: BLAZING AWAY (1928) Lloyd Hamilton
I pieced together the original video and replaced the cards and slapped a jazz soundtrack for my old You-tube channel. Here is a better copy but some of the letters on the title cards are obscured. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=966bG-LlqJo&feature=youtu.be I find it interesting that halfway th...

Is that Charlie Chase at 8:20?
The LOC has a print of this also but the LOC print has much more gas on it.
I opine that this film consists of two rejected one reelers melded together to fill out the 2-reel schedule.

Re: Unidentified Sid Smith
I'm pretty sure this is a Rock film and that is Alice. Joe Rock at this time was recruiting old time comedy stars like Slim Summerville, Lee Moran, Chester Conklin and Joe himself to support her in her early films with Rock. I think I see Jack Richardson in this also. Tenneck and Sava are the same c...
