Re: Well blow me down with an anchovy.

Looking at the US trailer with its slightly expanded "exposé" around the ZENOBIA affair, could you imagine if the filmmakers expanded on the "feud" something like this: 1949, Los Angeles: Stan and Ida go to the movies and after enjoying the latest Ealing comedy import, they see a...

Re: THELMA TODD/ZASU PITTS: THE HAL ROACH COLLECTION 1931-33 Coming in October

Note that the review is directed towards the uninitiated - this is a great set and I'm sure everyone who's a member here wants it and already ordered it - or are about ...

Re: FILM DOPE No. 10 (Sept 1976) needed

Due to the guidance of one RMR, also known as our VERY knowledgeable Godfather, I've now got the nigh-imposible-to-locate Jean Delannoy interview. The article is everything I hoped it would be...and is especially helpful as it corroborates some essential information for the Keaton book which I would...

FILM DOPE No. 10 (Sept 1976) needed

If anyone has a copy of this issue, and will scan the article on Jean Delannoy for me, I'll reciprocate with a copy of the Keaton book when it's published. Please contact me with a PM - and thanks.

Re: Buster Keaton's Kennel on the MGM lot

Very nice John. One question though, in those 1930 aerial shots, can we see the offices across the street from MGM where Keaton first housed himself and his production staff when he made THE CAMERAMAN for MGM?
