Whoopee Comedies
I just acquired some extremely rare 9.5mm prints. These were actually the final things released on the gauge and some of them i have never seen advertised on the gauge...The trick is they were issued as sound on disc titles, and I have the films but not the discs, so i am hoping to find the audio an...

Re: Silent Shorts With Holiday themes
There is an xmas themed episode of the "twisted Tales" series that was released on 16mm but I cannot remember the title.

Who's seen Monty Banks' A Perfect Gentleman
I am curious if anyone has seen the Monty Banks feature A Perfect Gentleman ? I just watched my French 9.5mm print (aka Voleur malgré lui) which is 5 x 300ft in length and I think it clocked in around 70 minutes or so (I wasn't really keeping tabs) but I was curious if anyone was familiar enough wit...

Re: Cine art original films
Paul here is the picture of the Kops from the Masquers short, also the 1912 photo that is referenced....I'm sure you have checked this but just in case I searched through the Masquers 1975 50th anniversary book and there was no mention of Arbuckle in reference to "stout" there was a piece ...

Re: George Jessel?
Haha..... This is so funny, I mean I'll give him props for Norma Talmadge, but that's about it... Once at UCLA I had to transfer Lucky Boy (1928) for a researcher and besides thinking it was an exact duplicate for Jazz Singer, I thought the title said it all....He was a Lucky Boy.......In a weird pe...

Cine art original films
I was researching some early sound technology for someone at my new job at USC (there is some great silent stuff there on 16mm)and came across some interesting items in International Photographer Magazine. Here is one about an original straight to 16mm short featuring Jimmie Adams and Bud Jamison......

9.5mm show in Wildwood oct 2
Here is the rundown for my Wildwood, NJ 9.5mm screening this Saturday, should be a fun one, but will be lacking the appropriate musical accompaniment. I will also be bringing a notched projector to run some notched shorts probably in someones room, since it won't throw very far with only a 50w lamp....

Chaplin Bum's Rush/D.Devore i.d questions
OK I was looking around the web at old Mutoscope machines and it seems most of them have a film called Charlie Chaplin in Bum's Rush (I think it is numbered 7047) Has this ever been determined what film it is from? 2nd question is ..I just rec'd one of those shortened re-edited versions of a Dorothy...
