More Mickey "McGuire" Rooney...
Just added two more clips of Rooney from his silent days.
'Unidentified #2' could be 'Mickey's Triumph'?
'Unidentified #3' is probably 'Mickey's Wild West'?
If you're able to confirm, that'd be absolutely super...

Re: SENNETT and CHAPLIN MUTUALS available for pre-order!
Thanks for the reassurance Paul.
I'm a fan of BR too but have got stung a few times buying discs from the USA that I can't then watch!
(p.s. BR stands for BluRay and not British Rail....... or Bert Roach...)

Re: SENNETT and CHAPLIN MUTUALS available for pre-order!
Just to add my tuppence worth...
Most USA Blu-Ray releases don't play on UK Blu-ray machines.
The region codes are easily hacked on DVD releases but not on BD.
This could prohibit a lot of European sales for Flicker Alley.

Mickey "McGuire" Rooney - tribute
Call me sentimental, but he was one of the greats.
The weird thing was I'd been re-watching his early films just during the last few days.
Seems appropriate to post a few clips...

Bobbie Dunn - The Dumbwaiter
Here's my reconstruction of the Bobbie Dunn film 'THE DUMBWAITER' (Oct 1924) from three (varying quality) TV hatchet job prints. OK, so it's not quite in the same league as Brownlow's 'Napoleon', but hey, this one's a lot shorter and a little bit funnier.

Re: El Brendel home movie "gags"
Fascinating. Love the last gag.
Considering "busting for the loo" is something we can all relate to and find funny, it's surprising it doesn't figure much in comedy.
Thanks Louie.
