Re: Three Rare Sennett-Paramount Clips

Yes, Dave, the last rare clip is from Hide and Seek, Detectives and not Sleuths as both Richard & Brent say.
I've also had some stills from both titles and these great clips (from HuntleyArchive) match Hide and Seek, Detectives.

Hope there's more rarities to come!

Re: Unidentified comedy clip

Hi Jennifer, pleased to meetcha!

The clip is definitely from Wall Street Blues, though I think your projected clip is flopped.

Please let us know when you post more comedy stuff. Thanks!

Re: Unidentified Sid Smith

Also saw Alfred Hewston (or Houston) in this short, Richard.

Could it be one of Sid's Sava or Tennek Comedies?

Re: APRIL FOOL (1920) reel two with Lloyd Hamilton

Also thanks to your sharp eyes, Richard, for questioning the curious player. And Frank, Sam's been collecting for ages. He's had loads of time and connections to amass all this stuff over the years. He's a great guy and I'm not so surprised he has all this stuff. I've even given him some rare old st...

Re: APRIL FOOL (1920) reel two with Lloyd Hamilton

WOW! Based on what you guys started, looks like Ed nailed it. There's a brief mention of April Fool in the Nov. 27, 1920 issue of Camera! , page 17: Ted Laurel, the little English comedian, who played a character part in "Ham" Hamilton’s comedy, April Fool , has accepted a comedy role with...

Re: APRIL FOOL (1920) reel two with Lloyd Hamilton

Hi Si Com Lovers... As much as I also thought the actor resembles Stan Laurel, I'm pretty sure it's comic/stuntman Owen Evans who worked almost everywhere but never got anywhere. I tried to find a still of him for verification in my collection with no luck. Maybe some of you film collectors have him...

Re: Know what this is? II

I'm thinking this is one of the James Montgomery Flagg Comedies of which I know very little about.
But if you want to talk about Flagg "the illustrator," I'm in.
