I have a spare print of BLACK OXFORDS I might let you have for $300.

Unless you're joking, is that the average price for a 16mm silent comedy two-reeler print?

Nice looking print but the pacing is destroyed transferring the film at 18fps. Perhaps the archivists don't know what under cranking is all about.

Yeah, I didn't take it too serious, for I too know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy....who knows a gal. And she runs HATS OFF every night in her basement.

Could be BRA'S OFF.

I think the Blu-Ray Player Industry will have to send Paul a special thank-you of some sort for making a lot of silent film collectors have to purchase Blu-Ray players.

Add flowers and a box of candy with that.

Let's not forget Robert Israel, he got in a couple of really good posts as well. Basically stating..."if ya don't like what's being released, produce your own".

Re: Nitratevile Answer Dept: Can You ID this 30's Star

When a film forum's biggest attraction is laughing at the ridiculous ranting post's of a couple of angry posters, repeating the same tired worn out issue, there's not much going for the place. It was amusing when Sulpy packed his suitcase and stomped off--asking publicly to be deleted instead of thro...

Re: LOOSER THAN LOOSE PUBLISHING TO CLOSE

WIDE OPEN SPACES looks crisp. It only runs about six minutes and all inter titles are edited out in place of actors speaking French over the comedians "lines" like in those Italian Larry Semon releases. Guessing it's from 35mm. It has a funny gag of a stagecoach stopping in front of Stan's...

Re: LIFE WITH BUSTER KEATON: BUSTER IN THE JUNGLE (1951)

The broadcast article mentions Mal St. Clair to be the director. His ill health and early death at age 55 in 1952 prevented his participation. Too bad. Get that article about ABC's plans to use Atomic gas in it's transmissions from NY. That could have been a Buster story right there. Pasquale Ventura
