Re: CAMERA Comedy Clippings, September 22, 1923

Re: Edgar Kennedy and The Leather Pushers. It would be fun to see Kennedy box with the skill for which he was renowned. Does he box in any of his comedies, silent or sound?

Re: Andrew Arbuckle. What a hard-luck name to have in 1923! If he continued in show-biz, he certainly must have changed it.

Re: Has anyone mentioned these yet?

If you go to the website, their status listed as "In Preparation". There are one or two Max Davidsons held in European archives that will be new to our eyes, if Edition Filmmuseum's promise of "All the surviving two-reelers" pans out. "Feed 'Em and Weep" and "Going...

Re: Tati - just released and going OOP

Re: Any approximate date on this fan?

The key is Blanche Cornwall, whose starring career lasted from 1912-1913. Figuring that Ford Sterling and Mabel Normand didn't really become name stars until they were with Keystone for a spell, 1913 is the best guess from this corner.

A great lineup of films and much thanks for your hospitality, Rob. Heard from Ben and Steve who returned home safely in spite of the Del Lord tribute we pulled on Rt. 229 North.

Re: And HELLO???

I just got my copy...incredible! No less than the best single volume ever on a Hollywood comedy company. Not only does Brent correct the myriad of filmography mistakes of the past, but he gives a comprehensive history of the studio and profiles of all the personnel. Don't let the price scare you. Br...

Re: MAD WEDNESDAY - how elusive is it?

I saw it on broadcast television long ago (perhaps in the pre-VCR era). I think it disappeared because TV and home video companies didn't see the value in paying a licensing fee for MW after TSOHD went PD and could be had for free. I think TSOHD and Judge Priest were the first VHS tapes I ever purch...

A decent version of The Bee's Buzz can be found on the Internet Archive and the MP2 version can be burned to DVD.

Is it a downloadable MP3? Do you have a link for it?
