I DID put that up! And that'll go onto the amazon review as well. These sets are just spectacular, and those commentaries are worth the price alone. I believe the word I'm looking for to describe them is .... inestimable.

I’d imagine the reason the silent version ran 50’ shorter is that Blackhawk had a habit of cutting frames from their silent “adaptations” to approximate a natural speed at 18fps. Run the silent BRATS at 24fps and it’s gonna look pretty darned zippy.

I feel like if they stuck to the true dramatic arc of Laurel & Hardy’s actual lives and careers between 1939-1957 it would be too tragic for celluloid.
