FATTY AND THE HEIRESS (1914) is one of them.... I'll check my notes at work for the other title. Pretty good short but may end being no big deal.... I am sure Richard Roberts has it on 16mm!!!

Unidentifed Films
I just posted some grabs from a few unidentified films from the nitrate vaults at the Library of Congress that I was able to identify on my AL JOY FAN CLUB blog: aljoyfanclub.blogspot.com/. Plus there will be frame grabs from many others I was not able to identify on the Nitrate Interest Group's Fli...

Re: Max Davidson/Female Comedy DVD question
I have seen the reconstructions of CAME THE DAWN and DUMB DADDIES and also supplied the material on LOVE EM AND FEED EM. With all these titles Stefan gives through stills and titles the full continuity of the shorts. Certainly he could have just put them on the DVD and called them fragments but I th...

Re: RUM AND WALLPAPER (1915)
It is going on the next list for the lab, which means sometime late Fall or early Winter before it is preserved. If it is any good look for it in a ROB'S RARITIES show... if it stinks look for it in one of Brent Walker's SENNETT shows!! Just joking, and hoping it is worth seeing. George Willeman, by...

I will certainly do that... now all I have to do is figure out what is going to be in my program. I've got some cool stuff planned but it depends on what actually gets out of the lab.

Re: More Educational Pressbooks (including Billy Dooley)
Funny you mention preserving Al Joy. I may have already mentioned this, so please excuse the lack of short term memory, but BOTH the Library of Congress and UCLA have prints of the "classic" Al Joy comedy THE HELPLESS HELPER. Do we have HATS OFF, no. LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT, certainly not. A...

More Educational Pressbooks (including Billy Dooley)
Hey all, Just posted a few more pressbooks on the aljoyfanclub.blogspot.com site. I moved everything off my treborenots.blogspot.com site onto the one dedicated to that great comedian Al Joy. Laurel or Hardy stuff is still on laurelorhardy.blogspot.com. Decided to make treborenots.blogspot.com a lit...

Al Joy Fan Club, East Coast Chapter news
So, a bunch of cinegoons got together yesterday in that great mecca of film archiving -- Culpeper, Virginia, and watched some really cool slapstick comedies on the flatbed viewer. All this because the next day (today) we planned to go the movie palace located inside the LC Packard Campus and listen ...
