Re: Essanay 1910 comedies - help identifying actors

Like David Denton, I too thought the policeman looked like J. Warren Kerrigan.
And Steve, I can't tell if that's Smiling Billy Mason in profile, but could be.
And I don't think that's Harry Todd in that shot.
What do you folks think of a young H. B. Walthall in the middle of the college guys?

Re: GOOSE FLESH (Lloyd Hamilton... and Charles Gemora?)

Hi Dino! Long time! Good to see & hear from you again... Yes, I wanted to access the FIAF site to find out all the extant Ben Turpin titles in archives around the world. I asked a friend who was having a hard time getting on the site and she just gave up from Univ of Penn. And my son had a hard ...

Re: Mabel's Blunder - Who is Mabel's Brother?

Hi Guys... Phil, looking at the portraits of Helen from the old news article, to this day it still looks like the same girl to me. There are similarities. However your clipping may show a younger, Carruthers; or maybe the Keystone films made her look older. What surprises me now is that I just re-re...

Re: GOOSE FLESH (Lloyd Hamilton... and Charles Gemora?)

Thanks so much Steve. I tried Penn University and they have it but, for some strange reason, can only access their perodicals, not the FIAF archive of film. My next step is to try Temple University who also apparently has it and, hopefully that elusive electronic archive. I'm trying to see what Turp...

Re: GOOSE FLESH (Lloyd Hamilton... and Charles Gemora?)

Hello Steve & Guten Tag Uli...
Steve: How do I join the FIAF online electronic resource.
Is it available to individuals? Believe me I've tried and had a hard time.
Thanks,

Re: Mabel's Blunder - Who is Mabel's Brother?

Phil, thanks for that link and for posting the grabs. Never saw the film until now (this is a newly discovered short, right?) and enjoyed it. And a lot has to do with Helen Carruthers. She & Harry McCoy have a believable relationship and I like her personality in it. But I don't know who that &q...

Wow this is a big link! Louie, here's one pose of Matty Kemp. You'll see a few others searching Google Images. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://cache3.asset-cache.net/xc/3282825.jpg%3Fv%3D1%26c%3DIWSAsset%26k%3D2%26d%3D45B0EB3381F7834DE88AEE81040EE68802D6D9D1677AC113CA52222F25EC092C&im...

Re: Mabel's Blunder - Who is Mabel's Brother?

Hi Phil, Guess I'm looking after the shop while everyone is away???? Hate to say it but, to me, here's another instance of a "helpless" scan. I can't see the guy well enough to even guess who he is. Even that woman captioned as Mabel doesn't look like Normand. Try getting a better scan or ...

Hello Louie...

The young feller playing in the sand wearing the long robe
(also seated at the table in the other still)
sure looks like Matty Kemp to me.

Re: May '29 Release Chart for the Research Geeks

Hi Rob, really appreciate you posting these pages, but why are the Weiss Brothers shorts so elusive?
I know we wouldn't find them in the copyright catalogs, but why neither in this thorough/comprehensive index?
