Re: The Mack Sennett Show?

Believe me, Mack Sennett had so many different ideas for projects during those years that were announced in newspaper columns, but never went beyond the talking stage.

Rare Arbuckle Keystones in Los Angeles June 9

For anyone in the Southern California area, on Wednesday June 9th you'll have a rare opportunity to see the Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle Keystone comedies ZIP THE DODGER (1914), FATTY'S DAY OFF (1913) and FATTY'S WINE PARTY (1914), along with the Marion Davies feature THE CARDBOARD LOVER (1927)...

Re: Question about Arbuckle features

Does something from GASOLINE GUS exist somewhere? For some reason I thought I heard that, but might be mistaken.

Re: Question - Color vs Sound

Agnes, this is an excellent question on why sound took quicker than color. I don't know the answer, but here is one theory that may not be the full reason, but one possible aspect (and it's fresh on my mind, in fact, because of some program notes I just wrote for Slapsticon). Re: Spring Fever (1919)

Louie, I've seen and heard about this as well, and in fact here is an auction of lobby cards from the film: http://www.robertedwardauctions.com/auction/2004/328.html However, it says Moe plays a young boy who Honus teaches batting. Unfortunately, there's no scene like that depicted in the lobby card...

Re: Problems with reply posting

Hey Gang, When I post a reply with a quote attached to this website, I'm having trouble typing in a response. The message jumps up and down as I type, and the hilighting to cut and paste seems to be a bit uncontrollable. Is anyone else having this problem with this site, or is it my computer? It on...

Re: Wedding Party

I think this is from a 1917 Triangle Comedy (title unknown). In the second shot it's Harry Depp far right with the bow tie and straw hat, and Clarry Lyndon is the balding bearded man with thin glasses toward the right in both shots. And as has already been mentioned, Claire Anderson, Mai Wells, Fran...

Actually, now that you mention it Lisa, you may be correct. Totheroh and Koenekamp look a bit alike, and I guess Rollie may be more likely to be working with Syd at that juncture (not sure exactly when this is, but looks like 20's).

Re: Body IDs please

In the shot of Syd with two cameramen, the one on the left is Hans F. Koenekamp.
