Re: Langdon filmography correction
Finding out that MOPEY DOPE is the last solo Harry Langdon starrer might not shatter the earth, but I think it is darned significant, Louie.

Re: Agee's Lost Films of Laurel & Hardy HAVE ARRIVED
Definitely not an upgrade on SLIPPING WIVES. I'm really saddened by Mr. Agee's travails and misfortunes, but I'm glad that you at least got the original set for all your investment and trouble, Louie.

Re: Agee's Lost Films of Laurel & Hardy HAVE ARRIVED
Louie, this set was to have a new rendering of SLIPPING WIVES from a European 35mm negative, it was rather dupey and off centre in the first "Lost Films" series.

Re: So You Wish You Were a Silent Film Fan in 1958
For me, the "defects" of Dr. Everson's more arcane materials--the Czech or flash titles, the cobbling together of prints of various conditions and generations--added to to the fascination, and feeling of great privilege, in being allowed to see them, and from what I saw and heard about he ...

I thought that might be Billy Bletcher. But I suppose he'd have to be standing on something.

Re: Joan Castle
My guess, and it's only a guess, is that she's not in FALSE IMPRESSIONS, and that it's another IMDB error that circulates. I checked your filmography, Brent, and you have a "Jean Castle" listed among the bit players in this film, perhaps this person was just confused with Joan Castle somew...

Re: Any approximate date on this fan?
I'd suggest that this was a promotional item laid on by the Mutual Film Corp., then distributing for the various companies these actors were working for. Almost all the same names appear in the Mutual ads reproduced on pages 6 and 7 of W.K. Everson's American Silent Film . And it looks like Edgena d...

Joan Castle
I just came across this December obituary piece in the Telegraph, thought it might be of a little interest as Miss Castle, briefly a Fox contractee, appeared as El Brendel's niece in MR. LEMON OF ORANGE and made a brief stop at Sennett for FALSE IMPRESSIONS, also working in some Educational and Vita...

Re: Question regarding THE STAGE HAND
Thank you, Richard, for weighing in on the matter, and I'm grateful to you and to Frank for providing all the details (and most embarassed that I never noticed the Langdon double in the last shot, which I'm going to blame on my muddy video copy). I don't know how close fellow Iowans Langdon and Ches...
