Re: Jean Darling RIP

I spent a couple of days with her. Always interesting breaking bread with someone who at one time conversed with Laurel and Hardy and Charley Chase and even Herbert Hoover.

Re: Stan's brother Ted

That's why I said opinion as the Find a Grave pics were the only images I had seen of Gordon. The man in SB is not Ted. Ted is gangly and very wooden in his roles (I know he's a butler in most appearances). However the chap in SB I would bet the farm is a sibling of Stan and this man in SB is very e...

Re: Lehrman's WET AND WARMER

I wish I could help you with that. I posted because I wish to relate to you that this was shown at one of the Slapsticons. The titles of the print were out of focus, unfortunately. However this film would be among the top three laugh getters of all the films I saw at the Slapsticons.

Re: Richard M.Roberts Banned from Nitrateville

Let us not forget those pizza parlors that showed all of those silent comedies. The Denver Public Library had nearly every Blackhawk silent comedy in small gauge which was one of the greatest blessings of my young life.

Re: Unidentified Bud Jamison, Glen Cavender & Ton of Fun!

Universal must have thought a lot of Jack Cooper to suit up Dorety as Jack whenever Cooper flitted over to Fox or Sennett. Or was it Dorety's idea? Dorety does the Cooper bit in Arbuckle's short THE GARAGE.

Re: Unidentified Bud Jamison, Glen Cavender & Ton of Fun!

Steve, Those two titles are the only ones that Jamison is listed as the star in the Motion Picture News films in release. I have been trying to compile a short comedy filmography of Universal and new titles keep popping up all the time that were not mentioned in that mag, so there are certainly more...
