The title of the Worst Theatrical Short Ever Made goes to Kids Will be Kids starring the execrable Mischief Makers. http://youtu.be/4ARMaLkneoQ

Ates & Kennedy: Never the Twins Shall Meet (1932)

Edgar gets second billing in this one even though his Average Man series had already been launched the previous year. A rare chance to hear Ates speak without his trademark stutter. http://youtu.be/iEDSl2oF2I0

Blu and DVD Deals

Barnes & Noble is selling all Blu-rays for 40% off, both online and in-store. Now's a great time to pick up Intolerance, Wings, The Big Parade, or those Milestone and Kino Blu's you've been holding off on.

Re: YOU'RE NEXT (1940) Catlett and Collins

That final gag with Dudley Dickerson is a real throwback to the silent era. That kind of stuff is not often seen in the 1940s.

Re: BEAUX AND ERRORS (1938) Edgar Kennedy

RKO comedies were a staple during the early days of American Movie Classics. Oldies.com has three volumes of the RKO Kennedys and perhaps a similar number of the Leon Errolls. And VCI had both a Kennedy set and an Errol set on DVD for awhile, and these may still be in print.

I think he also banned the mention of Richard, M, and Roberts. Tough luck for anyone wishing to discuss Big Joe Roberts. And don't even start a post about M&M's.

Evidence of Arbuckle's Uncredited Directing Work

I am wondering what incontrovertible evidence exists for Roscoe Arbuckle's generally agreed-upon directing credits prior to taking William Goodrich and his nom de director's chair . "Fronts" Grover Jones and Al St. John were no slouches as directors themselves. Do photos exist of Arbuckle ...

Great find David. I think this is the earliest instance of the gag we have, right? But who the hell is Kri-Kri? Which, by the way, is Greek for a goat native to Crete.

Re: Movie Morlocks First Slapsticon 2013 report

This is great. I'm in the process of compiling my own favorite Slapsticon moments...would be great to hear from as many people who care to share.
