Re: Much More Dunn (aka Bobby Dunn II)...
Hi guys The UNIDENTIFIED BOBBY DUNN No.s 2, 2b, and 3 are from NO DANGER ('23). Moma has a complete print in their collection which Ben Model and I have been trying to fit it into one of our CRUEL AND UNUSUAL COMEDY shows as it a great short (hopefully the next edition). The daughter of the blasting...

Re: Evidence of Arbuckle's Uncredited Directing Work
Here's a chunk from Roscoe's Reelcomedy, Inc. contract where he's named as producer: "First. The producer agrees to make and produce during the period of one year from the date hereof, a series of two reel motion picture comedies not exceeding ten in number, all of a proper and entertaining cha...

Re: Evidence of Arbuckle's Uncredited Directing Work
There's also paperwork and contracts that survive which name Roscoe as the producer and director of the Reelcomedies, Inc. shorts. The first season used no director credits, and the second credited Al and Grover. Roscoe's contract was on ebay not too long ago, and it was signed by Roscoe and Eddie M...

Re: Clowns
Rube Miller had also been a circus clown. He started at Keystone in 1912 and eventually directed there as well as acted in 1914. After that he moved on to Kriterion, Kalem, Vogue, and L-KO, plus can be spotted as support in shorts such as Arbuckle's BACK STAGE ('19) and Billy West's A ROLLING STONE ...

Early Snub Pollard sighting
Hi guys A film just turned up that's been identified as the 8/14/1913 Rex short SALLY SCRAGGS, HOUSEMAID, and stars Robert Z. Leonard, Margarita Fischer, and Laura Oakley. Unmentioned, but very visible in the scans playing a butler, is Snub Pollard. Here's a link to the scans: http://www.flickr.com/...

Re: Unidentified comedy western
Are the young man in the suit and the young man in the cowboy hat and plaid jacket the same actor? They look a bit similar but not sure it's the same guy.
Could this be two separate fragments - one a western and the other a comedy with Moranti and Cook?

Re: Unidentified comedy western
Hi guys The fat guy in the scan with Moranti where he's vacumning looks like it could be Clifford Cook, who appeared with him in a couple of those "taxi shorts" such as STEPPING ON THE GAS ('27). The fellow that I though was Alfred Hewston was the scan in the lower group of the guy in the ...
