TWO WAGONS - BOTH COVERED (1924) Will Rogers, Marie Mosquini

Director Rob Wagner and "cowboy philosopher" Will Rogers made this takeoff of James Cruze's Western epic THE COVERED WAGON for Hal Roach release. Like Charlie Chaplin's CARMEN, TWO WAGONS - BOTH COVERED closely spoofs the actors and events of the feature film it mocks. Will Rogers essays a...

Just found Blanche Payson - the very tall lady in sunglasses appearing for a couple seconds at the 2:10 mark. Her height compared to everyone else gave her away.

ART IN THE RAW (1933) Edgar Kennedy, Franklyn Pangborn

One of the best in RKO's "Average Man" series; for once Edgar's family isn't *too* annoying and there's even a happy ending of sorts for Mr. Kennedy. Franklyn Pangborn is a standout as a Greenwich Village artist, watch him run circles around Florence's double-talk. With Edgar Kennedy, Flor...

Re: HARRY LANGDON AT HAL ROACH: THE TALKIES 1929-30

Whooah! Richard and Chris, thank you so much - as I read your comments it's a good thing I wasn't hammering nails - I would've swallowed the ones in my mouth! I feel as though General Patton and Field Marshall Montgomery just awarded me the highest honor. Coming from you both - whom I look up to - i...
