Re: Film Follies, Christie's House Organ 1922-23

Thanks for the tip, Rob. Some good info for the filmographers and our friends at IMdB.

I once had the very last issue in this collection, the one with Jimmy Adams & Peter the Great.
Traded it away to my good ol' friend George Reed years ago when he was collecting studio trade journals.

Re: CALL FOR MR. CAVEMAN (1919) Snub Pollard

Thanks for that tip, Richard. Wild & wacky film that I see was a Grapevine print. Nice! The Roach intertitles - on a whole - were so much better than the Sennett's. Also saw Sammy Brooks and Marie Mosquini in there. I'm guessing the big guy was Noah Young? Really hid his eyes under some heavy bu...

Re: Victor Potel's Paintings

WOW! Very interesting article, Tom. I never knew about this Sennett painting. Might of made a great cover for Brent's book. Maybe the painting is still with the Sturges family(?). Maybe with Potel's descendants? But several years ago a very similar painting by Potel was up for sale at eBay. It wasn'...

Hmmm... I remember Rob Farr first turning up the script to Humor Risk about 25 years ago.

Ain't that right, Rob?

Re: CineMuseum's Upcoming ARBUCKLE ANTHOLOGY

Paul...

Is your above illustration the actual and original opening title card?

Or is it a recreation (or a very cleaned up original card)?

Re: Can someone put a date on this photo? 191? Keystone 61?

Looks like it reads KENTUCKY to me, Darren, not Keystone.

And date the photo? I'd make a guess of between 1910 and 1915.

Re: Scamps and Scandals 1919 Semon-question

Hi David...

Yes, that is Dan Crimmins who worked in a bunch of the Vitagraph shorts.
His wife, Rosa Gore, also makes some appearances in them.

Re: Great Clyde Bruckman Article and Forthcoming Book

I remember a Bruckman memorabilia auction only one year ago where Keaton's "The General" script was included, also Three Stooges scripts, Abbott & Costello TV scripts, and more went up for sale and sold. The General script alone sold for over four-thousand, actually probably over five-...
