Re: Identifying photo

I would like to thank everyone who took the time and trouble to examining this photo. I'm sure everyone noticed the Will Rogers resemblance. For what it's worth, I did notice one thing. Back in the day when the photo was printed, the negative was flipped, so the image is reversed. How do I know this...

Identifying photo

A friend of mine and his aunt were going over some of her papers and came upon this autograph photo of an actor/celebrity. They hoped that I could identify him. I can't, but perhaps one of you can. Any guesses? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: ATLAS FILMS 8MM COLLECTING FOR THE FINANCIALLY IMPAIRED

Apropos of very little, I would like to share this story involving Atlas Films "cousin", Carnival Films, which may be of interest...provided you interest easily. When I was a child in the early '60s, my father, who worked at a large department store, would occasionally purchase an 8mm movi...

The Blackboard Bungle on Fractured Flickers

I am searching for the answer to a question that I have been posing for 56 years. The Blackboard Bungle was a segment on episode 10 of the television series Fractured Flickers first aired in 1963. I recognized one of the actors in the segment as Gino Corrado. Unfortunately, I don't know any of the o...

Re: PARADISE ALLEY (1962) Billy Gilbert, Chester Conklin

Interesting. I wrote about this little gem to some friends who I thought might be interested. What follows is that correspondence. I purposely attempted to be a trifle vague as far as the plot is concern to avoid spoilers, not that it is the type of movie that can spoil easily...as in a mystery. Per...

Just in case you would like to see more of the January 15, 1955 episode of The New Red Skelton Show with Peter Lorre and Mary Beth Hughes as Ralph & Malice Kramden, and Red Skelton and Muriel Landers as Ed & Truxie Norton.

Re: BLONDIE series.

The Platinum Disc Corporation was founded in 1995, however, since 2005, they have been doing business as Echo Bridge Home Entertainment. I own a number of Platinum Disc's as well as Echo Bridge product and, on the whole, I am quite pleased with them. I purchased this DVD collection in 2003 when it w...

Re: THE STEEPLECHASER (1922) Educational Mermaid Comedy

Apropos of very little, but my wife Diane and I watched this comedy. Diane is conversant in Italian. She thought the film was funny...but she thought the Italian dialogue was really funny. Makes me wish I paid attention when my Grandmother wanted to teach me Italian when I was a boy.

Thank you Richard. Somehow I knew that you would be the one to come to the rescue. My wife and I are both looking forward to meeting you in June at Slapsticon.
