Re: SENNETT and CHAPLIN MUTUALS available for pre-order!

For what it's worth, I held out for years because what I saw on the new flat screen monitors looked really crappy! I'm talking about VHS and standard def DVDs that I had created and thought it was not in my best interest to "upgrade." After all, everything looked great on my tube televisio...

Buster Keaton Montage

Apologies for this shameless plug ... Actually, I uploaded a video to You Tube; I originally created it on VHS for presentation at the 1998 DAMFINO's convention and I added the cheesy open and credits at the end recently ... Thought I'd share it here for what it's worth: http://www.youtube.com/watch...

Re: Keaton's The Blacksmith

Over the years I've seen four different versions of The Blacksmith and I'm wondering if there are any other permutations out there. Also, do any Mafia Members know which is the "definitive" version? By "definitive" I mean the final cut for American release. These are the version...

Re: Movie Morlocks First Slapsticon 2013 report

Mr. Wyatt also brought an unidentified Al St. John short, and he asked the audience to help him identify it. I don't think anyone could place it, but I think Mr. Arkus made the sensible suggestion that the absent Mr. Massa get a crack at it. There's a chance that I could help out, Al is kinda my &q...

Re: Errol Flynn does the "Mirror Routine"

It's Nick Stuart. I've seen him in some early talkies and also, confirmed it with Steve Massa ... So it must be him! Is my face red!! I apologize ... It's Eddie Borden and not Nick Stuart doing the Mirror Routine with Harold Lloyd. Borden is who I had confirmed with Steve after they ran it on TCM. ...

Re: Jimmy Aubrey-THE MECHANIC

Pardon me, there where no titles. Ok then ...... this is the second early Jimmy Aubrey I've seen apart from his later Weiss Brothers and really enjoy his comedy gags. This is the 2nd reel of the film. The 1st reel follows Aubrey's misguided journey from getting bodily thrown out of a racetrack, get...
