Dull Care (reconstructed)

Just watched the reconstruction of 'Dull Care' that Dave Glass put together. Looks very good. I've seen a number of different versions of this film but I must admit that I didn't know the Cineteca version was missing so much footage - is Dave's version complete?

Great that this is going to be made commercially available. Is there any more detail on who is releasing it, when etc.? Would hate to miss it.

Thanks for posting this Rob, a great find, always good to see extra footage. We could all do with something to cheer us up in these difficult times and I hope that you and everybody - wherever you may be - are keeping safe and well.

It's really great that these have been made available - Charley Chase is a fairly recent discovery for me and I've thoroughly enjoyed both volumes of these talkies and am now eagerly awaiting a third volume! Commendations to everyone who made this happen - a lot of effort for (I guess) minimal comme...

Re: Brats - Silent Version

Thanks very much William and Richard. As an avid Laurel & Hardy fan I'm always looking out for different versions of their films, however minor those differences may be (and I know that's sad, but hey, that's what collecting's about). But from what you say the only difference apart from the incl...

Brats - Silent Version

I was wondering if the silent version of the Laurel & Hardy film 'Brats', which was prepared by the Hal Roach studio for cinemas that hadn't made the transition to sound, still exists and - if so - is available to view?

Re: Ten Years of Silent Comedy Mafia.com

Really great for an enthusiast like me who knows very little about a lot of these films to have access to the knowledge of the experts in SCM who know so much more. Looking forward to the next 10 years of SCM!
