Re: Examiner Review of SMILEAGE GUARANTEED by Richard Roberts
I know this is an old post, but it's recently become a little more relevant. Listen to any 5 minutes of any of Richard M. Roberts' commentary tracks on any DVD, then the entire 142 minutes of James L. Neibaur's comments on RUNNING WILD and THE OLD ARMY GAME, and that'll tell you all you need to know...

Re: THE ROUND-UP starring Roscoe “Fatty” Arbuckle
Ahh, but blu-ray looks soooooo nice.
Seriously, in a year that, in three months alone, has already brought us the Charley Chase Talkies V.1 and Marcel Perez V.2, this is the cherry on the icing on the cake. A gotta have. Congrats Paul!

Re: Okay-----NOW!: CHARLEY CHASE AT HAL ROACH: THE TALKIES VOLUME ONE 1930-31
I'm finding the Chases just keep getting better and better -- ONE OF THE SMITHS and SKIP THE MALOO both just made me grin like an idiot throughout, and THE PANIC IS ON is a hoot -- with a really fantastic tracking shot as Charley walks down a hallway from one office to the next. My habit is to watch...

Mary Ann Jackson is unquestionably the most underrated child actor of the silent era. She's a phenomenon in the pre-talkie MGM Our Gangs.

Simply the greatest release of 2018. Sure we’re only three weeks into January, but I can’t envision anything topping it. Kudos to you, Mr. Roberts!

Re: Nitrateville Answer Dept: Keaton Radio Appearances
My pleasure! But upon a re-listen, it's pretty obvious the whiskey's getting the better of Buster on the Rudy Vallee show.

Here's The Fleischmann's Yeast Hour for your listening pleasure. (And a far sight better than Shell Chateau!)

Re: Yes Virginia, there's gonna be a Charley Chase Roach Talkie set
I don't have much to add to this conversation at the nonce beyond "Take my money!" -- I'm still gobsmacked every day by what my DVD shelf holds (the complete Chase and Keaton Columbias -- and the Shemps, Bessers and DeRitas too??) so I've got nothing but gratitude (and money) for those bra...

Re: The Authenticity of Buster Keaton
Thanks Paul - mostly for the excuse to spend the day with Mr. Potterton! The conversation is going to be a brilliant addition to the set; for an 86 year old gent Potterton's sharp as a tack!
